As I begin this blog I feel the pressures surrounding me and the walls falling…because I know where God has brought me from I stop and look up and begin to pray because I know that God will make a way even when I cannot see beyond my tears.
The peace of God is the deep calm that envelops the thought processes of the Almighty.
He is never anxious, always in command, never without a remedy. He sees the end from
the beginning and views the needs of man from the position of unlimited resources and
capabilities. He perceives the needs of His children with both compassion and confidence,
for all things are possible for Him.
I just returned from Jacksonville, FL where my friend and I supported another family member in a move from a stressful situation. I find that no matter where you go there is drama and old slew foot is working overtime in stirring up trouble. We (I included) give him too much room to do this. At some point we must let love overcome and trust God. This is very easy for me to say but not as easy to walk and I am fully aware of this. I will continue to proclaim this even when I do not feel like it. With the hurt and the pain that we experience it is difficult to move forward. I love my family, my children and my grandchildren…ALL of them…even when they think different.
I love my daughter so much and cannot seem to covey this to her. This is for Jenny:
My prayer is that as the year 2012 progresses more of us will see the importance of one another. We must bond together more than we ever have as time approaches. Lord let me be a light…let me be the angel on a mission that will bring a message of hope to those who will listen. In my plight to share what God has done for me I have missed the boat in my own family. Father God, restore to me what has been taken…as David fought to recover his family whom the enemy had taken…let me fight to recover mine. I am nothing in this world without YOU and without the FAMILY that you have given to me.
We are in a test!
“When you go through difficult times, make sure you pass the test. Don’t be stubborn and hardheaded. Recognize that God is refining you, knocking off some of your rough edges. Stand strong and fight the good fight of faith. God has called each of us to be champions; you are destined to win. If you will work with God and keep a good attitude, then no matter what comes against you, the bible says that all things – not just the good things in life, but all things – work together for your good.”
― Joel Osteen
This blog will be short because it is late as well.
I want to invite all of you to join me in the Bible Reading for the year 2012. This week’s reading is:
Week January 15th Genesis 35-48; Psalm 18-24; Matthew 26-28; Mark 1-4
What I do know is that God’s Word does not return void. As you enter the Word into your heart you will grow in knowledge and understanding of His love. Love overcomes a multitude of sins and I have many.
